What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is the science of inclulcating positive images and thoughts onto the subconscious while in a state of relaxation for a change on the conscious level. While many hypnotists still use the word "relax" or "sleep" in their programs; hypnosis is not sleep.
What is the Science Behind Hypnosis?
"Each time an electrochemical impulse flows through a network of neurons, those connections are strengthened, making it more likely that that pathway will be used again. With new ways of thinking and behaving, new connections between cells are established, and others used less often selectively die off or are "pruned"." (UAMS College of Medicine, Dept. of Psychiatry's Partners in Behavioral Health Sciences, lesson 5)
Am I Hypnotizable?
Most people are hypnotizable. (The exception are people with moderate to severe mental retardation) In fact, people often enter similar "trance-like" states without even knowing it. Interestingly, studies show that patients who are the most anxious also respond the best to hypnosis. As being very anxious requires a vivid mind, all the better for bringing to life a good scenario. Is Hypnosis Dangerous?
Hypnosis is a normal state of mind, one which most people go in and out of every day. During a hypnosis session you would instantly get up and leave the room if it caught on fire, even if it had previously felt like your arms and legs were too heavy to move.

The hypnosis program will last 35-45 minutes. After the program you will receive a free professionally recorded CD of your personalized session for you to take home and listen to for a minimum of 21 days to maximize your results.
Why May Some Programs Require More than One Session?
The mind is much like a computer. Hypnosis creates new updated software for the mind to use, but like most computers there are many old files that cause outdated software to get in the way. For most programs only one session is required. However, when a habit has been perpetuated over 5, 10, 15 or more years, such as smoking or weight loss, two - four sessions are needed to attend to all the issues, past beliefs, triggers and habits that have been molded and reinforced over such a lengthy time.
As with weight loss the sessions are categorized into different components such as releasing the resistance for change, portion control / food choices, exercise eagerness, and a gastric bypass portion control option.
For smoking and addictive habits their are many emotions, past beliefs and triggers that need to be modified or completely eradicated. For this reason it may sometimes be impossible to successfully modify ones behavior in just one session. Multiple sessions may be required to eliminate all past unwanted behavior while reaffirming the new positive responses to both internal and external stimuli.
As with the first session you will receive a free professionally recorded CD of your custom tailored program for you to take with you to expedite the process and maximize results.
What is a Reinforcement Session?
Although we all hope to modify our behaviour permanently their may be unforseen events that cause us to rekindle an unwanted habit such as a death, loss of a job, foreclosure or other unsettling events. After having completed and having success with your hypnosis program you are able to schedule a reinforcement session at just $65.00 in which we will address the trigger that caused you to relapse.
